Christi Barnes

Christi has a heart for people who are hurting and trying to find their way because of her deep love for Jesus and faith. She is a licensed professional counselor. She offers faith-based, trauma informed therapy at Espwa Counseling at The Gathering Place. She is wide to John for 25+ years, mom to a big-hearted crew and believes deeply in life changing transformation. Her life has been shaped by both joy and heartache and she brings those experiences into every aspect of over 25 years in ministry. Her heart is to create a space where people feel seen and loved. She serves in care and connections at Timber Ridge; focused on outreach, missions, prayer and worship through music. She is the Director of a TRIO program at Tarleton, striving to complete her doctoral degree in psychology. She wants to be defined by and known for walking by faith, shining with hope and loving like Jesus.
